Accomplishments of our trainees
Trainees of ArGan'sLab work hard to make a positive impact in their field of research.. We cherish their well-deserved achievements..
Co-op student, Shirin Khanna, authors a review article. Shirin's contribution to a mini review article on the natural phytocompounds against coronaviruses have been accepted for publication in the peer reviewed Natural Products Journal of Bentham Science publications (September 2021). Link
Master's student, Maya Petgrave, makes an oral presentation in the prestigious 104th Canadian Chemistry Conference. Her research unraveled the structures and dynamics of human cannabinoid receptor 1 (August 2021).
Master's student, Maya Petgrave, presents a research poster in the prestigious ACS Fall 2021 international conference. Her research revealed the dynamic ligand-mediated interactions in human cannabinoid receptor 2 (August 2021). Link
Co-op student, Riley Woods, makes a poster presentation in the ACS Fall 2021 international conference. His research focussed on building a comprehensive atomistic model of TMEM16F, a curcial integral membrane protein that is linked with bleeding disorders (August 2021). Link
Co-op students, Ying Li, Shiv, and Nadia, makes research poster presentations. They delivered individual poster presentations on their research that characterized ligand interactions with SARS-CoV-2 main protease in the University of Waterloo-School of Pharmacy Research Day 2021 (May 2021).
Co-op students, Ying Li, Shiv, and Nadia, co-authored a peer-reviewed research publication in the prestigious journal of Nature Scientific Reports. This article employs an array of advanced computational tools to unravel molecular interactions that are key for stabilizing ligand binding on to main protease, a replication machinery of SARS-CoV-2 virus (April 2021). Link
Co-op students, Shiv and Nadia, co-authors a peer-reviewed research publication. This article is focussed on exploring phytocompounds against SARS-CoV-2 protein targets. Shiv and Nadia contributed towards performing molecular dynamics simulation and binding affinity of the compounds identified by our collaborators (Feb 2021). Link
